<b>ROME</b> Italian and French police have arrested 19 people allegedly involved in a Mafia financial empire run from a luxury flat opposite the office and residence of the Italian Prime Minister. The arrests were part of a round-up of bankers, businessmen and investment brokers in Italy and France who police claim formed part of a money-laundering network allegedly controlled by Nicolo Rizzuto – who is in prison in Montreal awaiting trial for Mafia-related crimes – and his son Vito, who is serving a ten-year sentence in Colorado for racketeering and murder.
