Antarctic ice 'hanging by thread'

A piece of Antarctic ice measuring 220 square miles has collapsed, and an ice shelf about seven times the size of Manhattan is "hanging by a thread" because of global warming, the British Antarctic Survey said today. "We are in for a lot more events like this," one professor said.
